Don’t be scared: Tips on Marketing Your History Consultancy

In this last OSS Session for the year, Sarah Craze will share tips on marketing your history projects and business.

She writes: " In 2025, marketing is all about being authentic, helpful and engaging. Although it can seem intimidating and scary to put yourself out there, the good news is that being a historian means you already possess many of the skills you need to market yourself and your business effectively. In this session, we’ll run through different marketing options to give you an idea of what to choose that leans into your skill strengths. We’ll also look at how to be on the first page of search results for your name and expertise. You’ll come away with suggestions for curating a marketing strategy for yourself that leverages off what feels enjoyable and natural to you.

DATE: Tuesday, 9 September

TIME: 6:30 pm

COST: Free for PHA members

NB: If you have registered for a previous OSS session you will need to re-register for the Zoom link. This session will be recorded and made available online at a future date.
