  • Practical grant writing workshop

Jonathan O'Donnell (@Researchwhisper) has designed an exclusive grant writing workshop for PHA (Vic & Tas) members with the Victorian Local History Grants Program in mind.

This practical skills workshop will help applicants improve that vital first impression, sharpen up ideas and make your application competitive. It will be helpful for anyone who is writing a grant application this year.

"We can’t get you funded (only you can do that), but we can try to help your application be the best that you can make it." Jonathan O'Donnell

Applications for the Public Records Office Victoria Local History Grants Program are due on 9 March 2021. Let’s spend 2 hours sharpening up your application before you submit it. This workshop will help applicants to improve that vital first impression that your application makes on the selection committee. It will focus on sharpening up your ideas and making your application just that little bit more competitive.

Outcomes

At the end of 2 hours, participants can expect to have:

  • A better understanding of how to improve the presentation of a grant application.
  • Notes on how to improve their own application.

Participants pre-workshop preparation

PHA (Vic & Tas) acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the many Countries on which we practise and their continuing connection to land, culture and community. We pay respects to Elders past and present and to the generations who have held and passed on the stories and knowledge of the lands, waters and people. We support the ongoing truth-telling processes in Victoria and Tasmania.
